In this book, surface water, in the conditions of prevailing dry climate in Egypt, is considered one of the most important resources for carrying out various economic activities, especially agriculture. Currently, Egypt faces a discrepancy between the growth of its population's needs and the development of its land and water resources. However, technological advancement, which leads to increased utilization of available exploited and unexploited resources and improvement of their productivity throughout the republic's regions, can contribute to addressing this gap by enhancing the efficiency of using available limited water resources from various traditional and non-traditional sources.
