The study suggests that balanced economic growth is closely associated with the economy’s ability to coordinate expansion in production with the structural adjustments required for sustainable development. The research aims to analyze the basic elements of industrial structure and to explain the relationships among consumer-goods production, intermediate-goods production, and industrial investment. It further seeks to investigate how these relationships influence growth patterns and determine economic performance over time. The analysis relies on concepts derived from development planning and industrial economics, using quantitative relationships to interpret interactions among investment, production, and structural changes in output composition. Particular attention is given to the effects of changes in industrial structure on resource requirements, labor allocation, and capital utilization. The findings indicate that growth-rate determination cannot be separated from the analysis of structural shifts within industry because existing production structures may either constrain or facilitate economic expansion. The study further emphasizes that balanced industrial structures are necessary to ensure efficient resource allocation and to support long-term development objectives. The study contributes by providing an analytical framework that assists policymakers and economic planners in understanding structural industrial problems and in formulating more effective and sustainable development strategies. |
