It is the art of working with and through people to achieve goals and control actions, blending leadership and management. Leadership is defined as influencing people to cooperate toward a common goal they find desirable. While management is also a science, it involves precise calculations, statistics, and scientific techniques. It requires making a series of decisions at various levels to achieve diverse goals such as innovation, return on investment, market position, profitability, productivity, and worker performance. The manager’s main responsibility is to optimize the organization’s performance, aligning actions with overall objectives.
