Agricultural development requires the coordination of efforts across different and diverse fields and activities. Planning for agricultural development also requires a comprehensive vision of all the variables that affect the growth and progress of the agricultural sector, both positively and negatively. It is not sufficient to identify agricultural resources within the sector to formulate a development plan; attention must also be given to the social changes that need to be brought about in rural communities, which are the primary beneficiaries of the fruits of agricultural development, alongside urban populations. |
