Unemployment is a global issue that represents a real challenge in many countries, both developed and developing, affecting the world at large. Its repercussions negatively impact society as a whole. Statistics from the World Bank released in recent years indicate an increase in unemployment rates in many countries, including Egypt. If unemployment is essentially a state of imbalance and disruption between the supply of labor—both in quantity and quality—and the current and future labor needs for productive and service projects in the country, studies point to many reasons and factors that contribute, in one way or another, to creating this imbalance in Egypt. Among the most significant causes, though not limited to, are the continuous increase in population growth rates exceeding economic growth rates, making it difficult to match this increase with substantial investments to create job opportunities at the same rate.
