Description
Résumé:This paper addresses the complexities of development planning by introducing a set of formulas and an example focused on the sector phase. It highlights the challenges posed by varying gestation periods across different sectors. Drawing on existing literature, the author aims to present the simplest possible formulas without overlooking essential aspects. The goal is to make these tools practical for planning purposes and manageable for typical planning unit staff. The planning process is conceptualized as a stepwise approach, beginning with macro-level estimates of investment volume and growth rate, which are interrelated. The sector phase aims to refine these estimates by categorizing the economy into sectors characterized by distinct capital-output ratios and gestation periods.
