| Summary: | The development of an efficient economic planning system for the United Arab Republic and the Arab League requires focus on three key themes:
1. A large short-run model of foreign trade and production.
2. A large short-run model of international cooperation.
3. A large dynamic model for the five-year plan, including foreign trade and international cooperation.
The greatest interest lies in the third model, which encompasses cooperation among states and investment planning. However, there is an urgent need to enhance the training of economic planners across various ministries in mathematical planning techniques. Therefore, it would be beneficial to start practical experiments on the first model, for which a theoretical framework has already been developed at the Operations Research Center of the Institute of National Planning. |
