This research study focuses on human resource planning and the projected demand for different occupations across various functional categories in the United Arab Republic (UAR) during the period from 1970 to 1985, with the aim of achieving full employment. The study is based on specific assumptions regarding the households used to develop the functional structure, the prevailing and targeted levels of education and training, the targeted relative distribution of the functional structure, replacement rates, and the expected size of the labor force. Three different alternatives for the evolution of the functional structure were analyzed and compared, with detailed statistical tables presented.
