This study aims to determine the optimal fertilizer rates for different crops, including cotton, wheat, and maize, and study their economic and environmental impact. The currently used fertilizer rates were analyzed and compared with the proposed supra-optimal rates to achieve the highest yield and lowest cost. Deviations between the current and optimal rates and their impact on the sustainability of agricultural resources were also evaluated. The results indicate that there are significant economic benefits of adopting optimal rates by improving crop quality and minimizing wastage.
